The nature of astrological content — please read

Astrology is not a science. It is not recognised by the scientific community as a valid method of prediction, and there is no accepted scientific evidence that the positions of celestial bodies influence human affairs. Kaalam makes no claim otherwise.

What Kaalam offers is a faithful, carefully computed presentation of what the classical Vedic tradition states — a body of cultural, philosophical, and religious thought many people find meaningful. Everything Kaalam produces is provided for personal interest, cultural and spiritual reflection, and entertainment. It is a matter of faith and personal belief, not a statement of fact about your past, present, or future.

No outcome is promised, predicted, or guaranteed. Readings, timings, and daily guidance describe what classical texts say about a configuration. They do not tell you what will happen. Nothing Kaalam produces should be treated as a forecast of real events, and no result of any kind is warranted.

You remain responsible for your own decisions. Do not use Kaalam as the basis for any medical, psychological, financial, investment, legal, career, marital, reproductive, travel, or other significant decision. Kaalam is not a substitute for a qualified doctor, therapist, lawyer, accountant, or financial adviser, and it is not a crisis or emergency service. Always seek appropriately qualified professional advice, and if you are in distress or crisis, contact a medical professional or your local emergency services.

Different classical sources and different traditions sometimes disagree. Kaalam follows a documented order of precedence among its sources and stays silent where the tradition does not clearly speak. Another practitioner may reach a different conclusion from the same chart, and that does not make either wrong.

You must be 18 or older to purchase. Kaalam is sold to adults who understand and accept the above.

Who we are

Kaalam is operated by Equiti Ventures LLC (“we”, “us”), a limited liability company registered in the United States. Legal notices concerning these terms go to legal@astrokaalam.com. Support, refund, and account questions go to support@astrokaalam.com. Privacy requests (data export or account deletion) go to privacy@astrokaalam.com.

Your account

• You must be 16 or older to hold an account, and 18 or older to make a purchase.
• You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for activity under your account.
• Birth details you enter must be your own, or belong to someone who has agreed — or to your own minor child, for whom you may consent.
• The information you provide must be accurate. A chart computed from an incorrect birth time or place will be wrong, and that is not a defect in the product.
• One account per person.

Subscriptions and purchases

• Your Kaalam is a recurring subscription, billed monthly or annually. The price, in your own currency, is shown before you confirm and again at checkout. A free trial may be offered; if it is, the length and terms are stated at the point of sign-up.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not shorten or refund the period you have already paid for.
• How to cancel depends on where you subscribed. If you subscribed on our website, you can cancel in your account settings. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, you must cancel through your Apple or Google subscription settings, because only they can stop a store-billed subscription. We will not put a retention flow, a discount offer, or a confirmation maze in your way.
• Readings and Muhurta cards are one-time purchases. Once delivered they remain available in your account.
• Prices may change. A change never affects a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you before a changed price applies to a renewal.

Refunds

Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are refunded by Apple or Google under their own policies; we cannot issue those refunds ourselves, though we will help you where we can.

For purchases made on our website: because a reading is generated and delivered specifically for you, it is exempt from statutory cancellation rights once delivered, and you consent to immediate delivery when you buy. Even so, if a reading fails to deliver, is corrupted, or is plainly not what was described, write to support@astrokaalam.com within 14 days and we will put it right or refund it. We do not refund because a reading’s content was unwelcome, or because events did not turn out as you hoped — see the section on the nature of astrological content. Nothing here removes rights you have under the mandatory consumer law of your country.

Content, intellectual property, and your data

The Kaalam product, engine, brand, and the text of the readings it generates are owned by Equiti Ventures LLC. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the readings you buy for your own private purposes. Your birth details remain yours; you grant us the licence needed to compute readings from them while your account is active. You can export or delete your data at any time — see the Privacy policy.

Acceptable use

• Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the engine or its rule sets.
• Do not resell, republish, or redistribute Kaalam readings, or present them as your own.
• Do not scrape, overload, probe, or interfere with the service.
• Do not use Kaalam to provide paid advice to others, or to hold yourself out as an astrologer on the strength of its output, without the qualifications and licences your jurisdiction requires.
• Do not use Kaalam to harass, profile, or make decisions about another person without their knowledge and agreement.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.

Availability

Kaalam is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service. If we discontinue a product you have an active subscription to, we will refund the unused portion.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kaalam and its content are provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that any reading, timing, or interpretation is accurate, complete, or will correspond to any actual event.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Equiti Ventures LLC and its officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profit, income, savings, opportunity, data, goodwill, or reputation, nor for any emotional distress, arising from or connected to your use of Kaalam or any decision you make in reliance on it — whether or not we were advised such loss was possible.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim connected with Kaalam is limited to the amount you paid us for Kaalam products in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so parts of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a limitation is unenforceable, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law permits.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Equiti Ventures LLC against claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of Kaalam, your entry of another person’s details without their agreement, or your use of Kaalam output to advise or make decisions about anyone else.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be heard in the state and federal courts of Delaware. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings in your local courts where that law gives it to you.

Apple and Google

Where you obtain a Kaalam app through the App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and Equiti Ventures LLC only. Apple and Google are not parties to them, are not responsible for the app or its content, and have no obligation to provide support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

General

If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor of our business. Together with the Privacy policy, these terms are the entire agreement between us about Kaalam.

Changes

Material changes are announced by email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. Continuing to use Kaalam after the effective date constitutes acceptance; if you do not accept, you may cancel and stop using the service.
